Hi Everyone

As you have may have read i am now on my 4th c905 due to various problems,

One thing i have noticed with this latest one apart from getting no gps lock grrr :@

Is that battery life seems to be very poor, can get only about 16hours standby use with only moderate texting and internet use, (my others got around 2days) also when im charging it, it only says charging instead of “optimized charging” like i think my others did, could the 2 be related? Is it a problem it does not say optimized?

Thanks

it could be a firmware issue. are you running an old or newer version?

I was getting very poor battery life at first and discovered it was wifi. I now only turn wifi on when I need to use it.

I assumed, at first, it'd be like my iPod Touch, i.e. only consuming power when wifi is actively being used, but it seems to be a constant drain on the C905.

Not sure if that's your problem, but just thought I'd mention it!

Mine just says charging as well.
Had a strange thing though.. The battery indicator showed there was about a third left, so I connected the charger.. it said charging.. and I left it overnight.
In the morning I checked and the phone told me it was completely empty (nothing on the battery indicator, red led on the side flashing)

Since i needed a working phone, I thought well let's turn it off charge it for a few minutes until i leave for work and charge the rest at work. With the phone turned off I connected the charger and to my surprise it told me it was fully charged!.

So I guess the energy management software in this phone could use some extra work as well.
