W890i not ringing |

I have had my W890i now for 3 months and up until now i have not any problems, worth worrying about. But now my phone will not "ring" or alert me to a messages or even make a sound when i set my alarm ( was almost late for work). I have tried all the profiles and even done a master reset and still it will not ring or make a message alert. Although the music player works and volume is set high. It also still vibrates.
I am getting very furstrated now. Any help would be very very much appricated.  |

Must be something with contacts and the speaker. Is the warranty still valid? Otherwise, did you mess up with the acoustic drivers? |

Not messed with any drivers, wouldn't even know where to find then lol
all i did is on day put it onto silent then from that day on it never came off???
So do you recommend taking it back to the shop?? |

did you go to menu>settings> sounds & alerts? check if there's some problem

I would go to the dealer and asked for a checkup. It looks like something
wrong with the speaker.

hey, I had the same problem. You know, the camera operation sometimes causes this problem. I had this after capturing an image, and i wondered why there is no shutter sound. Then no sound went out. I restarted the phone, and It worked properly. It's happened somtimes, but I've sold the phone now. You can reset it each time it doesn't have the sound. If doesnt work, your speaker goes wrong. |
