hello, this is my first post on Esato. Just wanted to know if it is possible to update a branded orange K800i without a usb lead. I have an m2 card with goes straight into my computer. Possible ?

Thanks.

if you're not connected to your pc then the only other choice is over the air (OTA).

however this is rarely available, especially on branded phones but you'll find it in the general section of your settings menu if you have it

no, its not possible to update via a memory card

if you have the update service it is in settings -> general. you should see an option called "Update service"

you could always look at using a mates pc and/or debranding your K800 so you can have the latest generic firmware, which may help

It is free. To debrand your phone you need a usb cable and some programs and files. This is what programs you need: usb drivers, seetol2lite or xs++, firmware and drivers/patches (if you want).
Search on esato about this.
