Well don't know about BEsT one... Perhaps you should try them (if you can) or see their specs... Some of the latest headsets have also led displays and etc... But for me, simplicity makes it perfect... The good old HPM70 works like a charm for my P1.

I'd say the HPM-77 and HPM-85. I've also used the HPM-70 previously, but wasn't really satisfied with the sound quality. Sound quality is quite subjective though, so as @strizlow800 has suggested, you should give them a try yourself if possible.

I've just purchased the DS205 to use with my HPM-77 headset and the sound quality is great! Having used the Motorola HT820 and Sony DR-BT21 previously, I gotta say these are the best so far.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

In my opinion the best Headset without Play/Pause function for SE phone at the moment is the HPM-77!

Got a HPM-85 today and it sounds better and louder than any SE headset I had before. It's a bit tight on the ears but will probably loosen in time.

For in ear headphones, HPM-70/75, HPM-82, and HPM-80 are my favourites. They all use earbuds halfway between Sony EX51's and EX71's in audio quality, which is pretty good for supplied headsets. If you want an ideal solution, look for third party headphones to use with the HPM-70's 3.5mm socket.

You have even more choice there but you want to get something better than Sony EX71's (or what's the point - just use the HPM-70 set), which put's you into $100 plus price range!

Personally I'm happy with just using the SE sets. I also have a cheap sennheiser pair that are pretty good.
