I have accessed the Secret Menu / Service Tests on my K800i (Joystick Toggle right, *, joystick toggle left then left again, *, joystick toggle left, *) and this confirms that my backlight illumination is not working, nor are any keys illuminated.

Looking at earlier posts here I have reloaded the latest, then tried an earlier version of the K800i software from Wotan, after ensuring that the software was compatible with the EPROM RED CID53 which Wotan identified upon "finding" my connected handset.

I am stumped. Any steer would be much appreciated.
