I use the msn for P800 everyday, really kicks ass!

IRC for it would without doubt be awesome..

Yup, MSN & Yahoo for me... although I think TIPICme can handle AOL as well... hmmm regarding IRC... would be neat...but have you guys considered the cost? GPRS charges per KB outgoing AND incoming...

Would you be willing to pay for every character you see over IRC?

Just the same... it would be neat to have.

And we want our OPERA browser with small screen rendering!!!!

IRC doesnt generate traffic worth a shit, a 30min IRC-session typically generates about 50kB traffic (I IRC over GPRS with my laptop), even less if u r in not so active channels.

And regarding IRC on the P800, im working on a irc-client for it, already got a working test-version, should have a beta ready in a couple of weeks, here is a (VERY) early screenshot http://mikrolahti.com/~tommy/symirc.png. Used it during a traintrip on the weekend, worked like a chram

Well i am sure soon there will be more clients...
as there is irc for 7650 which might be ported to p800 :

I hope you release it soon. Or maybe this program will be ported to P800 (It is a 7650 application on). And it looks very serious whit DCC and stuff like that.
