Hey guys,
When I try to use the SonyEricsson update service, it asks me to attach the USB mini-cable, when I do it looks for a driver somewhere then says: Microsoft USB sync failed and I cannot go on with the process.
Is that a driver missing?
Anyone knows where can I get it from?
I have already installed Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 downloaded from the Microsoft site.
Am using Windows Vista.

had the same problem, I fixed it by installing the driver while SE update service was close: basically hold the volume and power button until it goes into that colour screen mode, then plug the device in [while SE update is NOT running on your PC], it would install the drivers. Then unplug the X1, remove/reinsert the battery and you should be able to go on from there.

Also I have heard of people having trouble with Vista and SE update service on their X1, apparently it gets stuck at 11% and bricks the phone, so be careful.

I don't think there has been an update yet so you shouldn't be too worried at this stage. [Latest FW: R1AA017, to see FW version go to start>settings>system>device info>customer info ]
