guys is there anyway i can find out when my blackberry bold was made
is there a difference between the canadian and the one made in hungary?
also please can some one tell me does the pin have anything to do with the manufacturing
as 209 would be made first and 256 would be made later etc

It will say on the sticker on the insid of the phone.
COuntry makes no difference and PIN is Random.

Contacting RIM however if its a bold it will be from last year unodubtedly.

so thats one thing
i dont think they made the phone in jan - 12 - 08
it can be 01 - 12 - 08
any way to make out a new one from a refurbished one?
handset looks new and smells new.
was in a sealed box but just asking |

That was made on the 1st December 2008.
All Blackberry's have their date of manufacture on the side of the box. And the country.
It won't be a refurb, they won't appear for quite some time.
I work in a phone store and we got refurb Curve's in (8310), the date of manufacture was September 2007 although they were fresh in on a new delivery.
Apart from the date on the box there is no way to tell a refurb from a totally new Blackberry.

well i spoke to RIM in canada and the said the phones were billed to the distributor on the 3rd of december 2008
well so thats ok
also the PIN is 209...
and I have seen the bolds with with vodafone they start with 25... |
