o2 wont give out pac |

well over the phone they wont
finally sorted uot a new contract with someone else and phoned o2 for my pac-i was prepared for the old sales pitch just said i want a phone u havent got-ok he said reluctantly
i said can i have my code-he says yes i'll email the relevant dept and they'll send it to u in 2 days
i say so i cant have it now-no he says we dont do it like that-i said well you do because my sister phoned up and got hers last week(which she did as i heard her)-no well she couldnt have as we dont do it like that
i said fine wotever u say he said ok be with you in 2 or 3 days!
is he jsut trying to fob me off hoping i'll stay?

All the Pac codes I have had, have come through the post and never over the phone.

t-mobile give them over the phone if you ask. I have had 2 from them in recent months and also a couple of colleagues as well.

i might jsut phone them back then and try and get it-i am going away friday so it would be good to sort it out before i go or i'll be using a temp number while im away

Actually thinking back O2 did the same for my brother when he left and went Orange. Cos it was Christmas and sure to be a delay they sent it him via text. Normally the data protection act stops them doing this and only via post. Oh well.

I got one over the phone but only because i was persistent, t-mobile also did without any problems at all.

02 said they'd text mine out within 48hrs but it never arrived so I rang them and they gave it over the phone. The advisor who I spoke with on first account done a balls-up apparentley. |

Oh please, do you really think anyone cares if you say that? Boo-bloody-hoo if Watchdog do a report, the staff on the phone will most likely snigger that your dumb enough to think that will some how scare them...

Actually yes your right Watchdog would not take it seriously as its not really a big deal. Also the data protection act covers them so they have both legs to stand on. O2 dont have to give it you over the phone. Watchdog take on more serious problems than that. |

no i wouldnt go to wathdog over it its just that i felt i was being lied to when my sister got her pac last week from o2 instantly
maybe she got through to someone higher up or something
