What are all this rumours about P800 as a video recorder.
I read this in a mobile related magazine.
Any ideas? |

and mayb there wont be a video recorder for the P800!  |

I have send an e-mail at SE and they claim maybe, just maybe an upgrade will make p800 cam take video, but not like a movie but like a 'burst shot' kind of thing.

there is already a VM software comming with the new p800's. If u got a new one check in the 'Multimedia CD' you'll find SE VM 1.0, this is the one which allows u to make gif's of 5 sec, 10 sec and 15 sec using the communicam.Even though its slightly jerky, its pretty nice over mms. If you dont have it in your 'Multimedia CD' make a post in this topic and i'll send it to you.  |

well i mean there is also a third party software for the 7650 existing, which can record up to 10 seconds and as everybody knows 7650 is symbian based phone and i think there will a third party app for the P800 too!! just wait and see!! |

Even if there will be some sort of "video" add-on the capabilities will be very limited.. there will probably be no sound at all, very low resolution and the only point of having it would be for the novelty factor. Just so the folks with 7650's can't say "We can do it, you can't"

And how can we old users of the P800 get this software?
Or is it going to be avaible in the sonyericsson website?

the contents of my CD are:

mms templates
audio clips
video clips (1)
Pictures
Games (4)
Phone Demo
Viewers

7650 users can't also record with sounds!! they can record yeah, but what is a video without sound! there is also this another video app for 7650 where you can record with sound but AFTER you recorded the video, not WHILE you are recording!! |
