I flashed my K800i using XS++ in hope I could fix the Joystick problem... this it the current stats:

14:39:30| Baseband ID: 9900
14:39:30| Protocol Version: 3.1
14:39:30| Phone name detected!
14:39:30|
14:39:30| Profiling SEMC phone...
14:39:30| Platform: DB2020
14:39:30| OTP CID: 49
14:39:30| EROM CID: 52
14:39:30| EROM Color: Red
14:39:30| IMEI: 35170701xxxxxx
14:39:30| Phone ID: K800
14:39:30| Region: EUROPE_2
14:39:30| CDA: CDA102511/4 R7A
14:39:30| Firmware Version: R8BF003
14:39:30| EROM: R3A011
14:39:30| Ready for operation

Now it has all the above firmware the LCD fades after about 20 seconds of not being used but when a key has been pressed it takes about 20 seconds for the LCD to slowly fade back into life. If I lock, then unlock the phone it instantly goes to about 25% brightness then takes 10 - 15 seconds to return to full brightness.

Its annoying... can anyone help?

Use same version of FS and MAIN, using different versions may cause instability. Download MAIN from http://www.4shared.com
And yes, flashing phone might not fix the joystick problem, cleaning it might fix it.

This has also happened to my phone even though I used the same for the firmware and filesystem - R1KG001 and R8BA024. It went back to normal when I flashed it with the original firmware and filesystem which is R8BF003.

@*: Guys, what do you think is the reason why I cannot change the firmware of my phone? I have CID52 DB2020 R8BF003 and I'm using XS++ v3.1. I downloaded the firmware and filesystems that I tried from 4shared.com.
