K850i battery lasts for 1 day only but is not battery related |

Hi all,
first time poster, long time reader 
I have had a K850i for over a year; the battery is great in it, last about 3 days with bluetooth on, 3g is off.
I got the wife one as well as she loved my one. however when she got it, the battery only lasted for about 1 day. it has to be charged every night. I got a new battery but it was still the same and then changed the battery in my phone into hers and it was also still the same. So the problem is related to the phone. I did a master reset last nite but still the same.
Powersave is on and 3G is off (GSM only is set) but this doesn't seem to affect it. however, since 3g is off, a "G" is still showing in the top left about the signal strength. is this related to 3G been still on?
The phones firmware version is: 1200-4400, R1CA037
Is there something else causing this problem? do i need to update the firmware? its obviously not a battery problem since my battery only lasts a day in it when it lasts 3 days in my K850i.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update the Firmware using SE Update Service or A2Uploader ,then you will see if it gets better ,if not bring it to a Service Center or send it to SE

update to the latest firmware seems to have fixed the battery issue. there was also an issue with the alarm not going off and that seems to have it fixed it also. | |
