I have been looking on the Sony Ericsson to see how to use DLNA and unfortunately they have NO explanation other than this...

DLNA sharing
Your phone has DLNA support, allowing you to connect wirelessly to other electronic devices via Wi-Fi. See your photos on your TV, for example - just connect, sit down and enjoy.

??

How do i get my pictures to display on my TV?

Anyone know?

Do i need to somehow connect my tv to my wireless router?

Eh, haven't you heard of Wikipedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dlna

Here's a hint: it's not something you would find in the menu.

i appreciate the reply but that page only explained what dlna is??

I have read the article 5 times now and im sure it did not say how to activate...how to connect....how to use???

im really really confused....should this not be an easy process???

is it like bluetooth....do you need to turn it on and make device searchable??

does anyone know how to explain it to me at all??

many thanks

ok i see you have to do it through wi-fi....which brings me back to my original quaetion....do i need to connect my tv to the router somehow....(getting the feeling this is gonna go round in circles with many sarcastic comments b4 i get an answer)

a simple answer would be appreciated...thanks

wi-fi turned on and connected to my wireless network succesfully.....how do i get it to go to tv?

i have a fairly new Sony Bravia TV with many inputs etc...but what do i use to connect the TV to the router as the only connector it doesn't have is Ethernet?

i dont own a ps3 hence my confusion from the url posted previously.

i just want to be able to view my pictures and video clips on the tv which was a big selling point of this phone.

i so far get the impression you need to do it through wi fi with network sharing on....how do i get it from wi fi to my tv??

my tv is a sony bravia 32s

I just posted that because it seemed to be a spring-board for what you're wanting. How to activate it on the SE, for example.

i didnt know tv's had wi fi so i guess no?

i was asking how to connect tv to router originally which is what seems to have been overlooked.

given that it was a big thing to be able to share media from phone to tv i thought would have been something simple to do or someone would be able to explain how they have managed to do it?

now im guessing you need to buy additional hardware to go between tv and router??

if so am very disappointed with sony ericsson for this as i was wowed by the fact that this could be done and was one major reason i got the phone!

of course you need a DNLA device to stream your pics to.
So yes you need a DNLA device or a TV with built in wifi (new sony lcds have this).

Netromantik's right.
DLNA is something like aa protocol, used thru wi-fi. There will be no mention of connection type DLNA, however, both devices should have wi-fi. So if your tv does not have wi-fi, you cant connect to it, Just like your tv's remote wont connect to your mobile phone(assuming c905 does not have infrared port).
