C510 Video/Photo Light or Xeon Flash |

I look the like of the C510. only problem is it does not have a Xeon flash. Ok I don't take that many pics in the dark, well hardly any. But would you say its a must on a mobile phone, or would you feel the Photo light on this would be good enough? I mean how much of big difference is it, when it comes to taking pix with an xeon flash compared to a Photo light?
thanks

BIG DIFFERENCE ,mate Photo light is good for close up pics because of his white light(xenon style) but for more than 1 m, sucks!.....so you can make an idea......the C902 Photo light is as strong as the double led on the C702(and no i don't have a C702 at least for the moment):)

if object is close then LED is really great, in my opinion results are better than with flash. if object is far (~2m) then flash rules, however with 2 LEDs result can be quite good too

yea photoflash is just a reinforced LED flash it's never gonna compete with a xenon flash for taking pictures. I mean according to sony a standard led produces 13 lux while the photoflash led can produce 25 lux, if you think about it...thats the power of 25 candles...wow( at the instant a xenon flashes it's in the many thousands, but quickly decreases, ultimately still way higher lux value). i thought you have a k850i mr miyagi, you of all people should know how much better a xenon flash is. |

Yea honestly I would just think of photoflash as an LED with a fancy name:

I can't say the c902(photoflash) even looks like the best led flash in the bunch
But here if you havent seen this already check Bialynia's post

Yes it's c905 and c902, but ultimately it's xenon vs. photoflash. And no worries about blur thanks to the fast shutter speed when using xenon.
Probably the main advantage of LED/photoflash is that you can use it with bestpic.
Sorry if i've bombarded you with stuff you already know... but since my k850i and n82 are my actual cameras, i don't see anything less than xenon as a proper viable option for night pics. And on some phones like the samsung u900 with a so called "powerLED" which i owned, it chose to make the shutter speed so slow that without fail everything always blurred if the flash was used- don't know how the c510 will be set up though. |

LED's are good for close-ups but when I used the N82(with xenon flash), it changed my perception about xenon flash!.... The flash of N82 is currently the best of all 5MP mobile phone IMO. It's great for close-ups and for distant objects.

C510 is 90% the same phone with C702(it haves exactly the same camera module) ............C702 + dust and water resistance and gps with google maps and 160 MB internal memory,.....c510 smile detection ,Accelerometer,HSCSD

@nnr3: Yea that's right about the n82, It's got one of the most powerful xenons available on a phone and it's good at judging how much light to use in situations like macro as well
