I'm thinking of buying another C905. My current C905 has the speaker fault and was repaired but I phoned today and was told it would need to be repaired. I can't get a new one until it packs in several times.

So should I fork out on a new one as the later batches are suppose to be better and sell the repaired one or should I buy a spare cheap phone in the meantime? I need a phone as I play music on it and use the camera alot.

I feel forking another £300+ is a bit much but is it better to buy from a shop? I know they offer a 31 day money back guarantee but what if the speaker goes on that after that? will they just give me a new one or is it another repair job?

Looks like I am going to get little use out my C905. Shame this phone was so poorly made at this rate it's going the way the K850i went and will be out of production. You would think with the delays on release that such a early and simple fault could have been fixed.

I don't think it's a good idea wasting more money on C905... Go for something else. A G900 or X1 for example.

I am looking at options.

The only one to match C905 is the LG Renoir as it has the Wi-Fi, 8MP Camera and Xenon flash but heard it's not good and it's not the best looking phone.

X1 looks fine but the camera is not as good. Is there any word on even new models on the way from SE which are up market and can match the C905? like the K810i kind of phone?

I heard a 12MP was planned for around May or something so will they put something on the market with a 8MP camera near then?

The Samsung Innov8 (i8510) has all the same specifications and more if you're looking for WiFi and 8mp.

I was thinking of this model but I'm not a fan of Samsungs.

Had a look at the G900 looks like a C902 with wi-fi and xenon flash but can't seem to find a shop that sells it in the UK?

The build quality looks better than the C905.

Looking at the i8510 it looks the better one of the other 8MP phones is it worth going for?

http://www.play.com/Mobiles/M[....]cked-Mobile-Phone/Product.html

Theres a link to the G900 by play, plus theres the option of 5% off with a discount code. Not sure if this is a general price in shops but play.com are usually a good indicator.

I've read a lot about the Samsung Innov8 and it sounds top notch, however i won't be buying one as i have my heart set on the C905. There are plenty of reviews about it on google if you type in 'i8510 reviews'.

The innov8 has had many returns to owing to some dust under the screen in the initial batches.I am however, yet to see any problems forW45 and beyond C905s

I bought C905 three times :

#1 (Silver) : sold because I want a black one
#2 (Black) : in less than 24 hours I got problem with its slider (woobly) and the side frame (near camera shutter) was loose. Sold.
#3 (Black) : still in my hand now.

hi, i would also be interested in this question....

dropped my c905 down the toilet! got it in for repair now although i think it's unlikely they can do anything.

thinking about getting a new one, but the one i dropped was actually the second one i had! after the earpiece failed in the first one and buttons went stiff!

i really love the features of the c905. but dont want to spend another £300+ just to have a load more hassle and problems again.

if i buy a brand new one now, will all the problems have been sorted out?

You will not regret holding on to a C905 now. At least till February when the owners have some really great stuff coming to cheer them up.

c905 is not such a great device, as u could imagine when just loooking at the features:

its haptical side is quite a lousy one- slider-problems are reported often, especially in combination with the keypad.

btw: mobile devices' hardware changes/optimations aren't a thought, u should waste ur time with: In most cases, hardware development is finished by releasing a device.
