Hi,

I have the SE Update Service installed on my pc and want to update to the latest software.

I have used this on previous models no problem but seem to have hit a wall with the C905!

When i follow the instructions (turn off phone, remove battery, insert battery, press and hold C, put usb cable in etc.) it just does nothing??

I put in the battery, press and hold the C button and insert the usb cable (which is plugged into the pc before you ask)......i wait and wait and wait with my finger presing on the C button and nothing happens??

Anyone else experienced this or can anyone tell me what else i need to do?

Thank you in advance

Go to "menu"

-->> settings
-->> software upload

Phone will automatic connect to 3G internet and will find you latest software.

I was got mobile with R1BA038 and in this way I upgraded it on R1BA042.

( I wonder where are the missing 039, 040, 041 are they exist ever or not )

the purpose of the update is to get a browser on the phone which i think was removed when orange put their own software on....

i.e. whenever i hit the orangeworld button to go surfing the net i get message about connecting via GPRS instead of WI-FI (which is configured and connected successfully).

Looking at knowyourmobile.com site shows screen shots of the menu screen with a button that has an image of the globe (like internet explorer sort of) which mine does not have....hence why i think the orange software has removed....i think they want you to connect via GPRS to make money and not allow the WI-FI to work.???

Am i right or wrong?
