Is there a dedicated Youtube client for the W890i? I go to m.youtube.com, try and view any video, but keep getting message 'cannot connect to media server'.
This mini demo on Youtube itself seems to imply you can view Youtube stuff on this phone :

Well i have downloaded a You Tube application from Google for free. It works great too. I have it for my Viewty plus i downloaded it on my old K800i. Works well on Orange 3G but not sure if it works on all networks. |

Go onto Google on your phone then you will see an option saying More. Click on that and you should see it. Not sure how many phones its compatible with though. |

looks like its a network issue on O2 - can't seem to stream videos. Searched on google and found similar issue experienced by others Darn. |

been playing around with a few mins, streams OK from BBC News, but Youtube is hit and miss. Still better than Nothing FInally, a good use for my data tarriff...
edit: I get the H icon consistently which presumably means i get a 3.5G signal on the W890i.

I also found the youtube.jar file. Seems to work OK on the W890i. I think its a generic java applet for mobile phones. You can download it here: http://www.4shared.com/file/36181638/de4ee8ee/YouTube.html

As i already said im on Orange pay as you go and it streams really good. When i was on O2 pay and go it was pants. Never worked. Seems networks like O2 favour contract customers over pay and go. Totally wrong in my opinion. |

Common problem with O2.
Change your streaming settings to O2 Mobileweb

no matter what settings you use streaming wont work with your real player with o2 payngo. theres aplications/browsers like mobitubia and skyfire that will work .but only works on a limited number of phnes.
