Which Phone To Buy? G705 Or G900? |

Hey people, I got a Sony Walkman for Christmas so there is no point in having the Nokia N81 8GB I currently have
I like these 2 phones for their web browsing abilities but I don't know which one out of the two to pick
G900
+UIQ (can install plenty of apps
+5 megapixel camera with autofocus (on the mobile-review forum someone was getting very good pics with it, must have been a modded driver or something)
+Touch-Screen
+128MB of RAM (I could load pretty much any web page in this)
+Very cool Notes application
+Lots of "small" hardware features, like the locking key on the side and the Service LED on the other side
-Candybar
-Slow UI (Can anyone confirm how slow it is with transitions on when compared with the G705 or any other A200 phone?)
-UMTS
G705
+GPS
+Auto-Rotate Display
+HSDPA 7.2Mbps
+Slider
+Lots of graphical niceties in the UI (I like that)
-Crap camera
-Unsure of Web-Browsing capabilities (how often would it run out of memory when browsing the web?)
They are both well priced, phones like the X1 are way out of my budget so I would like to keep it between these two.
GPS isn't really needed, Google Maps will suffice (my Dad has an E71).
It would also be nice to have a phone with a decent camera (G900) but I'm unsure of the speed of it or how niec it looks with the Transitions on
Thanks for any help you can give (let me know if it's in the wrong place, there is an actual section for this kinda thing on the mobile-review forum) |

Looks like you and I have similar wants and needs for our next phones. I have ruled out the G900 because of it's lack of HSDPA and the fact that Symbian OS has always had issues with BT connections such as carkits. Still trying to choose between G705 and W705. Leaning towards the ATM. Sad that the G705 doesn't have TS but the slide form factor will go some way to making up for that IMO. |

IMO these phones are pretty uncomparable, but IMO:
I would take G900: really good camera, operational system (although UIQ 3.0 with not so many applications).
And last, but not least: this seems to be the last phone on UIQ 3.0...
Just think about it! In a few years you will feel as having an dinosaur....alive! |

I got the G705 just the other day and have to say that it's a very slick phone. I have also handled the G900 and didn't not like it since it was slow and unresponsive. The G705 rarely has this problem.

Oddly, I'd suggest the G705 as well. There's no point in buying a UIQ phone... at this point.
