I got my first mac in about ten years last week and as much as I love it, the one thing i've still not managed to get working is the internet using my phone as a modem.
I'm running:
Macbook Air - Leopard
SE K850i on Orange UK
My preferred method would be bluetooth and I have managed to get the connection to work in this way somewhat. What i mean is it connects, but it's just far too slow. When I use my PC and the SE PC Suite I get lightning fast speeds (comparitively)
So far I have followed the instructions on http://www.feisar.com/connections.html . I connect through USB, choose phone mode and go to Network Preferences. I then have to choose which connection to use. I have tried both the script for SE provided by Apple and also one provided by 'Ross Barkman' at http://www.taniwha.org.uk/ (both these scripts 'work' with bluetooth).
When i try and connect, I get an error message on my phone saying 'Connection Failure'.
Does anybody have experience using their SE phone on a mac with bluetooth? Any help/advice greatly appreciated!
