i dropped my k800 sony phone (1st time in 2 years since i got it). im a bit disappointed in myself cos i pride myself on never dropping things.

anyway it 'appeared' i got lucky in that it landed slightly on the side then face flat down as it skidded across the floor. it fell on the laminate floor you get in shops in malls, quite a hard surface.

surprisingly theres not aesthetic damage, no scrathes, no chips nothing. however when i picked it up to use it cut out (the battery came loose)

anyway now there seems to be slight some issues with using the phone itself, like if i quickly move between menus etc a weird line shows up for about a millisec (it never did this before) or if i go into write a text message there seems to be a lag in time for it to get to the text message writing screen page.

would something like this be easily resolved by a software reflash?

im concerned i may have done some long term damage that wont show itself for a few months but has anyone else dropped their k800 on a hard surface and found there to be software issues with the phone like crashing lagging etc?

i cant explain what has happened exactly, but can anyone take a guess what has happened internally in the phone after such an impact drop?

hmm that's strange huh? i generally reckon that drops( that aesthically don't much damage) and a change in the software behaviour have little correlation. But it'd b a very big coincidence that your software messed up at the exact same time as the drop.
The line on your screen would indicate that you damaged it, but you said it only happens with lots of menu moving....have you tried moving your joystick a lot and seeing if it does it as well?
The messaging lag just sounds like software. wouldn't hurt to use SEUS to reflash.
To be honest i can't even think of a far out theory of hardware damage that is causing that....perhaps unless it did something that is causing the processor to get less volts than required-causing lag throughout( this is based on wat happens to xbox 360's )
