w910i - Software update = phone died |

So I was fiddling with my phone yesterday, and came across the "search for update" option in the settings. It found an update and started installing it. Tells me its gonna take 10-20 minutes etc etc.
So I leave it for a while and when I come back phone is dead. The buttons are lit up, but there is no display on the phone. The only way to turn it off is to remove the battery, then it will turn on but only to the above state.
Despite being connected to charger overnight the battery appears to now have drained so it is completely dead.
Anyone come across an issue like this when trying a software update?? |

you can update it with the Sony Ericsson Update Service-SEUS-. go to http://sonyericsson.com/support
download SEUS from there and try to update your phone

ok, thanks - It hasnt worked though
It doesnt seem to recognise the phone. Get to the step where it tells me to hold down "c" whilst plugging it in and nothing happens.
The computer itself also doesnt recognise it, it knows something is plugged in and tries to find drivers for it and even with the pc suite cd it cant find anything.
EDIT - Since this forum doesnt let me make more than 3 posts on first day I will carry on in this post.
Boysie - The seus doesnt show me any drivers to install. Once downloaded and installed, it launched the home screen to start the update, choose my phone and then to the page described above (there is also nothing else in the folder it installed). When I connect the phone, following instructions holding down c etc, nothing happens. Apart from windows failing to find a driver for it.
Also I have noticed that when i plug it in, the phones backlight comes on as well as a red light on the back.

Install USB flash drivers that u downloaded with SEUS
Turn off phone, reinsert battery, connect holding C. Windoze should detect flash device. Navigate to drivers in SEUS and install.

Try hold 2+5 buttons when you connect the phone to PC.
It should work.
PS: Is your battery charged at least 10% ?
