How to get the standby time visible ? |

for a really long time my k800i is not displaying the standby time...
Can some one let me know to make it work ??
Its showing a BLANK screen ...

go to setting/display/sleep mode clock
and turn it on

ya i know that .... its ON... it always worked for me .... recently i changed the layout file and menu.ml file .... Since then i cant have the standby screen displayed .... So i got the original files from topsony.com and still i cant have it displayed ... what else could be the possibility ??

A complete reflash ?
I think there are some other files changed other then menu.xml etc. |

I cant reflash the whole thing ... I never did it ... I dont want to risk .....
