Yes,it is true, but many patches can be converted and some of them with 100% success.

True mate. But unless he knows how to port those patches hes stuck. I doubt anyone who knows how to will be bothered to port them for him every time he asks.
Much better to have the most recent firmware anyway.

I just mean conversion with Patch convertor or
making of graphic patches with Image tool.
They can help sometime.
But of course newer firmware is better!

No mate. You can use R8BF files as long as they are CID52s.

With ImgTool you need to delete some images that are not needed to make some space for your new images.
Scroll down to the bottom of the list of images and delete some of the ones you know you haven't seen. Then replace your the images you want to change with your new ones. If it says there's not enough room, delete another one then try and make your vkp patch.
Flash the vkp in the normal way. JDFlasher is better because its much faster than SETool2lt and SETool2lt can't handle large GFX patches.

I hope you can understand cos I'm not very good at explaining things when I've had a few beerz!!
Pic of my K800...

yes, those are elf's. you dont need much memory for this. these files are not big.

you can try the display reader too: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=176538
