A white page has a 6”x6” image at the top with 21 shades of grey. Below the image there are 12 lines of plain text. We need to scan and store the page on the computer’s hard disk. What is the minimum amount of storage that we require to store the file accurately?

and please tell how u came up with the answer

The required space will depend on the dpi settings in the options for the scanner, the default is usually 200/300 dpi, the higher the dpi the bigger the space required. On standard A4 the 200/300 dpi is usually sufficient for everyday use

6mb for a greyscale image?!

Seems a lot, but I haven't attempted to work it out!
