Well, first of all, you have to have iMelodies stored on your phone. MIDIs are not IMY files, and the P800 cannot convert between the two.

Second, if you didn't notice, there are some IMY files that cannot be sent via SMS due to their length... the T68i could filter these out. Remember that SMS can only handle 160 characters.

Your safest bet is to use MMS to send IMY files. Bluetooth and IR work fine as well.

@jp
how do you send a ringtone via bluetooth? The only way I can find my ringtones is through a downloaded filemanager and the only option it has to send is by IR.

Go to the APPS tab (that's the top rightmost shortcut) then go to AUDIO. From the upper right drop down menu, select ALL so you can see all your audio files.

Then tap the file you want to send, then on the upper left drop down menu, select SEND AS. Then a window will pop us asking whether you want to send via IR, BT or Email.

It also helps if you actually read the manual BTW, the entire manual is built into the phone. The builtin manual is actually more extensive than the printed manual, so you'll always have it with you even when you're not home!

I agree, why does everyone kept forgetting that there's a manual?

Real men don't read manuals before somthing is broken and they need the number on the last page to call for replacement parts(or sometimes order an entirely new item)

Maybe I'm doing sonething stupid, but I just transferred an IMY file from my T-68 to my P800 via IR. When I go to the adio player, it does not seem to recognize the IMY file as an audio file. When I use file manager to try to "view" the file, it does not bring up the the audio app.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

TIA!
____ EDIT_____

Well I figured out part of the probelm. The ringtone is an EMY not an IMY. Does anyone know if the converter from chirstersson.org will convert EMYs to IMYs?

Thanx!
