Hi there, I don't think I've seen a topic on this but I was wondering, I am very careful about hearing damage and always try and have the volume as low as possible. Now on Sony Ericsson's there are 8 squares on the volume control but actually there is 15 levels. What is safe to use? In a quite room I have it on the lowest one whole square and walking along the street about three and a half squares, maybe more if listening to radio as that tends to be quilter but just now I am wondering with music through HPM-70's

thanks,

(I know I sound sort of sad, but my friend totally damaged his ears and now has a ringing which will never go away so I don't want to be like that)

I'm not deaf and don't use earphones as much but I do get the odd ringing which is quite annoying. To me, I just change the volume which suits me, e.g if I am alone in the house, I'll have it low so I can hear if anybody is coming or of any danger, if I am not alone I'll have it moderate as usually PS3's on and so it TV and PC. If I am outside, I'll adjust it as necessary as you can get some quite and noisy roads.

Lol that's not good...Getting ringing is a sign that you've damaged your hearing once you get that a lot it never goes away. But yeah that makes sense what you said,

Oh thanks to who ever changed the title of this thread the new one makes much more sense.

When I use my W910 for music, I set the volume at around 4-5 bars and 6-7 bars in noisy places. I have the original W910 acoustic drivers.
