It's not just the fault of the euro, phones in Belgium are (and always have been) expensive, in the Netherlands they're a lot cheaper, but not as cheap as in the UK.
The actual currency rate (again, not the fault of the euro, the £ is dropping it's value) makes belgian prices look even worse though, compared to the prices in non-euro countries, i.e. the UK.
Imo these high prices make it impossible to sell a belgian phone abroad, at a price which is reasonable for both seller and buyer.
