I am considering swapping my XDA Serra for an X1 because of the poor battery life on the Serra which is driving me bonkers!! So can anyone tell me how logn the battery lasts on the X!, ie with normal usuage how often do you need to recharge it. Also regarding the hard keyboard/slider, do you have the option to get it to jingle when it opens and closes, is there a setting for this in the settings screen? Oh and one minor question if anyone has bought one from o2 does it come with a case and SD card ?

Have had mine now for about 1 month. Got it CPW, 02 contract, unbranded etc. I did not get a case or SD card with mine.

As for battery life. i can go up to 3 days with mine, but that is only making 1 or 2 phone calls, maybe 6 or 8 txts, and not much surfing or gaming.
More usual performance for me is to charge it every night, though it still tends to have 60% or more left.
I guess gaming on it sucks most life out of it, and can kill the battery in a few hours.

I believe, for what the device can do, battery life is pretty good.

Well depends on how you´re using it. I´ve had mine for sale and just had it lying there with an occasional check up, and the battery lasted almost a week! At the beginning when I tried out everything and permanently, it lasted a good 3 days. So I think battery life is one of the strong assets of the X1!

@Wirral Bagpuss

The battery on the handset is pretty good I would say... I use to get an average 2days without charging, with 3G on... calls, tx, web and wifi... not major heavy use... more like medium use...

If you buy directly from o2 you may get a 4GB Micro SD card with it...

As my friend brought the X1 around 6wks ago and got a 4GB card inside the handset, ready to go...

Hope this helps

Cheers

hi, ok, my today's experience. stop charging with full battery at 5.30am (gtg on a trip). start music player at 6.15am, full volume and checked my mail, hotmail, yahoo, sms, checked my messenger, some web (3g), like 30-45 mins using very dimmed screen. at 9am stopped music player and didn't notice that my destiny place of my trip has no signal so i had the phone like 3 hours on but with no signal, searching. then turned it off for like an hour and then turned it on and used about 30 minutes of camera taking pictures, then back to my pocket, but still on. checked some sms that could make it (signal come and go) and at 2.45pm started music player again for my back to home trip. after 2 hours at the bus, started the battery alarm, turned off all apps less music. at 5.30pm phone died. is that normal? music player is battery killer?

by the way, back cover seems to heat a lot when i charge the phone or when use it for long time, is because is made from metal? here ir summer now.

thanks,

Sidney
