It's nothing in the hardware.

Mine has packed in twice now. It seems to be through usage the phone lags or something?

I had a new earpiece fitted and I don't think two go wrong in three months.

Just to update you all.... took mine back to 02... they sent it off for repair last week... had a phone call today to say it cant be fixed as of yet so they are giving me a new one (same phone) on tuesday... Im stuck with a crap loan mob that is so basic....

They also said, if it goes on the new phone then they will swap the phone to diff make....

Hopefully it will be solved when I finally recieve new one... lost all my numbers as they were on the phone... thats the only downfall...

Hmmm, I seem to have to hold down the C button when in a call for the earpiece to work (software problem?), I tried adjusting a few options in the Call settings but to no avail.

Hope this 'could' be fixed in the next firmware update.

My C905 has been at the repair centre for over two weeks now.

Sat a week and heard nothing. Phoned and was told 10 days for parts and I am still waiting.

My phone has been away half the time I have owned it.

Mine is 08W52 and was told that it should be from one of the "good" batches.. Still this problem developed last friday for me. After about 2 months with the phone. When i press the C button (or any button on the right) it does work, but it is not a feasible way to use the phone. This does seem like a hardware fault, although not the speaker as such, more to do with the flex cable which runs behind the screen and connects to the MB somewhere under the 3 right hand buttons (soft key, disc/off button, C). Pressing the C key kind of feels like when you press along cheap headphones wire to get then to work..

I've read in some other forums that by grounding one of the speaker pins it should solve the problem but i'm a bit afraid to try a home made fix unless there is a lot of ppl who find it works..

I used to have one with this problem. First I thought it was just the earpiece, than a software problem, but nothing helped. At last I bought the Key UI Flex and now it works fine.

Lots of work and wasted money but better to have a fully functional phone

i'm on my 2nd C905, and had problem with it again for the fourth time in 4 months. i only got it back from repair 4 weeks ago after it had new flex cable and 2 days ago it had the same problem it has had on 3 other occasions....not able to hear out of the earpiece. so i am now waiting to hear back from CPW for a refurbished phone. really hope i get better luck with this one..

I wonder if they still have parts to fix the problem.
I have one of the first C905 (bought it end of October 08) and thought mine was immune to the dead earpiece problem until it finally died mid-july. It has been since with the belgian version of CPW, and after 6 weeks, I was told that the replacement parts are still on order and they have no idea when they will receive them.

I'm starting to wish they'll replace my C905 with a brand new Satio when that comes out

When I finally sent mine to get fixed last month I got the phone back in less then a week. It is a flex cable replacement that is widely available.
