My P1i was playing up so I just reinstalled the software. I cannot install any third party app because the security certificate prevents that, even Googlemaps cannot be installed. Installation fails every time
What do I do?

I believe you may have a missing file that is essential to the installation process, it's all bound up with the whole 'symbian signed' thing, in that any apps that arten't 'signed', ie comply with the installation certificate (missing) on your phone will not install.

Your options are to either reinstall you firmware - make sure to empty SEUS's 'db' folder first, as this will force it to download a fresh copy from SE.

Or

install SWmails sis installer mod (9.1) which bypasses the whole signed buisiness altogether, and allows you to install any app you want - signed or otherwise, good for unsigned test apps etc.
