help me choose my next phone |

i need help to decide what my next phone should be. have had the k800i for almost three years now, am still happy with it but the world has changed and i would really like to have Wi-Fi (for all those airports) and more up to date software. I am quite happy with the classic keyboard (never really warmed up to the small qwerty keyboards) but i don't feel too strongly about it., which means i am ready to give it a try if the other conditions are met - see below.
over the last three years or so i have lost touch with new phone models so when i started looking at what's out there i got very confused. i thought maybe you guys can advise and make my life easier - at least boiling my choices down to three four that i can then research and decide.
The price is not so important - i am planning to changing my phone every two years or so i don't mind paying a bit more for what i need. I know this is a SE forum, and i have had many SE phones that i liked. I would seriously consider another SE but again, it does NOT have to one.
here are the minimum conditions:
- it must be relatively solid, not so many moving parts;
- it must not be too large (it should fit in my jeans pocket - k800i is perfect size, i would worry for the survival of anything larger);
- it must be a "smart phone" - at least j2me
- it must synchronize with outlook (both contacts and calendar) and/ or with evolution on Ubuntu;
- it must have a quality camera with macro and so on (i travel extensively - my k800i currently doubles as a scanner a lot) - i would even say flash would be important;
- it must have Wi-Fi (long hours in airports);
- it must be at least three band;
thanks for your help

Talking about SE I'd say maybe G900?? For the others there are a lot of N-Series Nokia with WiFi... |

Try GSMArena's phone finder.

I 2nd TeknoBoi's post. Also, monsters C905 and INNOV8 can hardly go into jeans pockets but I think it meets all the rest of the above requirements.

Barring its average camera, the G705 seems pretty much tailor-made for your requirements. In the Nokia range, the N82 and N79 are the obvious choices. |

Lol with all those specifications it really makes the list in my head almost nothing. I can't think of a SE phone with all those features. (I know you can also have other models but am more an SE fan so really only know about those models) |

I would say either a SE G900 or Nokia N85...
The N85 has almost all the features, has the right price, comes with an 8GB memory card and on top of all that it has an OLED display... If you have money to spend, spend it on N85...

SE P1, G900 or X1.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

most be a smartphone, and Wlan. well G900 is to slow if you had used k800 before.. Not to big.. go to a shop and try them out..
C902 is slim phone with solid build qulaity, but no wlan and it's dumbphone,
If you goes to N series then you can also try out c905, and compare these phones..
