I have read that the phone lock (permanent solution) is in the phone's GDFS, so I have backed up my GDFS and have made a safe copy of the original! Now I am opening it with WinHex (the only thing that will open a .bin file) and am looking to unlock to any phone.
Help me if you can!

also, i seem to remember reading that the phone does some sort of check (checksum maybe?) on the simlock info while booting

K700i > K750i > K810i (current phone)

when you turn on a phone with a simcard in it the phone does some kind of special boot thingy which its does with the simcard
the simcard has something to do with it also

reason i say this is because with the nokia n95 and the iphone and other you can get a special like plastic simcard which you put over the top of your
simcard while its in the phone when you turn the phone on this plastic simcard fools the phone and simcard that the special boot thingy has been done and passed so then it allows any simcard in the phone

so i would say there is more to unlocking a phone than just the gdfs being edited

You will damage your phone hardware and also reduce it's battery life.
