Fake SE phones? |

I heard ebay has many fake phones which are not real. I noticed on watchdog tonight they had somebody buy straighteners which were fake on ebay and they broke and they were sent back to the manufacturer who never fixed them as they were not real.
Out of interest how can you spot fake ones? Do themes not work or do they not do everything normal ones do?
I got my C905 ebay but it's been fixed at a repair centre I guess it's safe to say my C905 is a real one?

And also that batch had another defect so they all had the same IMEI number

Strange, it said that mine IMEI number seems to be correct, but they do not have any information on the handset.

Looks like it detects only Sony Ericsson phones.
Enter a few IMEI of HTC phones, says not available.
