Please can anyone tell me how to de-brand my W850 from orange to the normal sony ericsson brand. The W850 orange brand lacks activity menu and i desperate need it so that i can run many applications at once and besides i hate, the orange brand display. Its too ugly.

Thanks, totalgsm i went through ur site and it was helpful in so many ways but i got a question to ask. Does flashing and de-branding mean the same thing. Or if i decide to flash my phone, will it automatically debrand it ?

when you debrand a mobile you get rid of all your(or a specific operator) stuffs: ringtones, wallpapers, sounds, etc.

now, when you flash a phone you can debrand a phone by adding another generic firmware.

if you flash your phone with a generic firmware you will automatically have a debranded phone.

note: you can have your phone branded again if you flash it with a branded firmware.

in other words, debranding could mean flashing your phone with a generic firmware.
