Press release says Q4 2008 (Sometime between Oct and Dec.)

They are no longer showing as 'coming soon' on the Asia-Pacific site so looks like they have been released, but may not have reached stores yet.

It's funny how SE are re-using age-old Sony Walkman ear-buds. The HPM-88s are an exact copy of my Sony Walkman MDR-NC022s.

Ermmm.. the NC022s have (or had in my case) noise canceling too.

noise cancelling does NOT equal better sound at all!

not even close.

its only there to do one thing, 'cancel noise' turn active noise cancelling on and it will block out more outside noise than standard in ear earphones.

it wont improve sound

now I have a HPM 88. You all try HPM 88; it is grate headset, clear treble and deep bass absolutely crystal clear sound. That HPM 88 perfect balance sound Quality Clear and powerful sound with noise cancelling. Grate For an outstanding music experience. Absolutely you try HPM 88 you can’t go back.
You only buy genuine HPM 88, everywhere in fake HPM 88; never buy china & Hong Kong sellers.
