Is there any way to compress MP3's so that I can send them to my P800 via email. I have a Mac and therefore cannot Sync and the only way to do this is through email

Thanks

What I did is convert existing MP3 to WAV and then WAV to MP3 but before converting WAV to MP3, u should changed the bitrate (from 128kb to 64kb or 56kb!!!). Fantastic, from 3Mb to 5Mb of MP3 its now in terms of Kb....)....

You have to find the combination with a decent quality and filesize that works for you.

The smaller the file is the poorer is the quality of sound output.

Yes,

I find 96kb the best for me with mp3. Any lower and I can here the distortions/lack of fidelity.

I use the audio converter of Easy CD-DA Extractor. It can convert any MP3 bit rate compression to whichever bit rate of your choice directly. You can also modify the sound dynamics of low bit rate MP3 so it wont sound so bad using Sonic Sound Forge program.

I usually use MusicMatch to convert the mp3-files for my HPM-10 mp3-player. Either I use 96kbit/s or preferably I use Variable bit rate and the lowest setting. With variable bit rate and the lowest setting (in MusicMatch). I get files which sizes are almost equal to 96kbit/s but with better sound quality.
