When the flash and lens are spaced very close together you get these halos when the flash catches dust that reflects the light back. You don't get this problem on cameras where the flash has a bit of distance from the lens as the light doe snot get reflected back.

Thanks wahehe15. I in fact used your en.lng file from this thread. Still I do not see any changes. I am wondering if I needed a firmware upgrade or SEUS for DM3.8 to work? As I mentioned before, all the files in my phone were dated back to May 2009.

I would really to debrand the phone to get WIFI and also update the camdriver to DM's. I am not sure of the steps to follow though (I mean which one should proceed first or second).

Thanks again,
sxk100

@sxk100
I had the same problem and I had to debrand to get the lng files to work.
Step 1 - debrand
Step 2 - firmware update
Step 3 - update the cam driver to Vits or DM3.5 or DM3.8

More flowers with DM3.8

I'm still trying to figure out best ways to use Manual Focus and Shutter Speed. Can anyone care to share tips of when/where to use those two functions?

Thanks ricksilvers and wahehe15, I just finished debranding and did SEUS and updated to DM3.8. Everything seems to work fine. Thanks again for the help.

I donīt want to spoil the joy of you guys but if am not mistaken none of the drivers c905 used today is implemented manual shutter speed. You are using the shutter speed constant and not manual shutter speed in this model c905.
You can read the other topics here in esato and find the register for the manual shutter speed implemented a long time ago in the others models.
We forgot to tell the DarkMagician about this.

cheers and Christmas is coming guys!!!

I am not sure you are correct brazzuka's.. When you manually set the ISO level in DM3.8, the shutter speed control seems to work fine, but its only if you set a manual ISO level.

The reg for manual shutter speed has to be used separately from the manual iso to have some purpose but can work together in the final composition of a picture as it is in fact a proposal for a manual settings.
manual iso and manual iso xenon flash in DM 3.8 is in effects works fine but not have manual shutter speed.
Do the test and see if the manual shutter speed is working properly, because in principle you are using the constant shutter speed register, do the test yourself.
constant shutter speed = the shutter depends on the luminosity.
manual shutter speed = the shutter independs on the luminosity.
In the same controller, in the same key you are using 5 different functions and I think it isnīt a good idea and one more thing to color correction is not enabled or not this is working well.
In fact is that the manual shutter speed is not the right register, let's see if we can get in touch with the DM.

brazzuka's,
it seems we have lost all of our C905 camera modder's. Since you are also a camera mod expert, any chance you could pick up where Vit and DM have left off?
