Can't reset X1 |

For some reason Every time I try to select settings my x1 crashes ans restarts.How do I do a hard reset if I can't access settings?

Hard Reset:
Press and hold the two button on the front (silver buttons) and press the Power button.
Read instructions on screen. |

Thanks for replying but that doesn't seem to work,I just get the normal switch off warning. |

you need to press and hold the two front silver buttons while pressing the stylus into the soft reset hole under the battery cover... and you need to do all that for 5 seconds or more

I've used the two silver buttons + power at least twice, it also works. |

fair enough, so perhaps holding for 5 seconds is what xanadu didn't do

Thanks masseur,that brought up the option to reset but asked me to press R to reset or X to cancel.Now I can see the X button obviously but which is R? |

er, you'll need to slide the keyboard out
