C702 vs C902 Help me choose! |

Hi all. I am new to this forums and hope to be advised on my next purchase! I am looking into buying either the SE C702 or the C902. If price was not an issue, which one should I get?
1. How do the cameras of both phones stack up? I will be taking photos mostly in daylight and some indoors with light. I hope to be able to print out the photos in 4R size(4 x 6). Would like to have both compared in stock updated firmware and another comparison with the modded C702.
2. On the same note, how long is it till the camdriver for the C902 come out? Are people working on it?
3. How is the battery life of both? I intend to turn off the 3G function for both most of the time.
4. How about the build quality? The C702 being dust,splash-proof and all, and the C902 having solid build quality.
Please stick to the topic and only the 2 models are being considered because they are within budget and my telco sells them. Thanks a lot people! |

You just answered your own question. It's a no brainer.

C702 runs for 2 days on average (medium to heavy usage) if 3G is always off.

Since C702 is made of plastic, it'll get paint peel a bit quicker than C902, but it does have better resistance to water. Used it as an MP3 player in the bathroom (don't ask me what this means lol)

Yea, I know but I would like to know of the advantages and disadvantages of the 2 phones when compared together. Like a cheaper phone may have better battery and better build and so on. Just hope to get some answers for my questions. Thanks! |

Both have good if not very good build quality. C702 has a bigger screen (which does not fare well under direct sunlight, strangely) but C902's screen is smaller because it has touch-sensitive camera control keys. C702 has GPS that can work for free if you know how to trick it. And the cam is decent enough with the modded driver.

1.
c902 have better camera. (4 x 6 sizes is no problems at all, everything up to A4 looks good)
2.
why ? the original cam drivers on c902 is very good.
3.
if you use gsm and no bluetooth you have long battery on both phones (4-5 days). with 3G maybe 2-3 days.
4.
c902 have better buildquality, (metal casing vs plastic casing).
i should go for c902 because of better camera & buildquality, (the screen on c902 is amazing by the way).
c702 must be a perfect choice if you looking for a good phone on your boat or other rough places. (what i heard c702 have also very good screen).

The C702 is the better choice, the screen is bigger 2.2inch & you get gps, The C702's cam is better being only 3.2mp, it means the cell size on the sensor is bigger than the C902's meaning the C702 doesn't need so much Noise suppressant meaning more detailed pics read under noise suppressant http://6mpixel.org/en/?page_id=21 , the C702's 3.2mp pics look perfectly fine printed out A4 size, so you won't need 5mp http://6mpixel.org/en/?page_id=12 .

Another vote for C702 here... It is simply better than C902 imo... Only thing slightly better in C902 is the camera... C702 is better choice in every other way.

If you want more features, then go for C702, because of the GPS, bigger screen and the fact that the phone is kind of ruggerized.
If you want a stylish, yet a good camera phone, then go for C902. It has a 5MP camera with touch-sensitive buttons, and furthermore it has a metallic body.
Personally, I would go for C902, because I'm not using GPS much on my current phone |

So from what I gather, the Image-stabiliser for the C902 does not ahve much of an effect of correcting an unstead hand, am I right? From what I see, not many have mentioned anything about the stabilising feature.
Also, if I compare both the cameras unmodded with the latest firmwares, does the C702 still edge out the C902? I am planning to just shoot with auto mode for both or maybe some permanent setting.

frankly, c702 dosent have a chance in auto mode (or which mode you like) against c902. (to say something else would be hilarious).
c702 camera have to much noise, not even with modded driver c702 reach the same level.
(besides, GPS cost money to use, if you just want to find some location sometime, google maps do the job ok,(and even for free)).
