Unless you have a smartphone, third-party utilities like that are rare.

Because the only way of adding apps with new features is the JAVA support. But it is not that good as the Symbian OS for e.g. and doesn't have much potential except for games. There are pretty good java apps, but they are not what they need to be.

@firoz3321 If by 'sms service with log' you mean an SMS application which keeps a log of your messages, then you could try downloading freeSMS by cellity or FishText by FishText. There are 3 or 4 other Java applications that allow you to SMS, so have a look at Phoload and maybe some will work for what you want. Don't give up!

MSN ?? Well i dont use MSN !!

I just dont get it, Dont u guys CHAT on mobile ? HERE in INDIA, we communicate with FRIENDS mostly on SMS, ( 'coz its almost FREE ) ... So the chat facility makes it easy to manage the messages, and even while deleting, U only need to just delete the CHAT message. other wise U need to select all the INBOX messages and DELETE:( ....

I undestand what you're talking about:)

Chat in Nokias is simply sending sms messages but unlike standard sms sending feature, it organizes messages into chat and you have options like deleting whole chat instead of single messages.
But the whole idea is based on sending sms.

Unfortunately SE doesn't have chat feature. It only shows which messages have you anwsered to (small arrow near a message in inbox) but it obviosly cannot be considered as a chat as it only shows one message and doesn't link anwsers to messages.

The MyFriends feature is not exactly a chat, it's more a Instant Messanger and it uses GPRS to communicate, not SMS. But it does organize into chats and even lets you save those chats as text files:)

The only way to have an sms-chat is propably a java app but actually I'm not interested in that feature so I really don't know if such app exists. But I think it has to since many people (like you) seek this feature:)
