... I'm a bit worried, I've only had my c905 for a few days.

Please can someone check their c905 for the following problem for me?

When you slide the camera cover down, all the lights go blue, right?
On pad to the right of the screen where the macro/exposure/flash/timer controls are do each of these have their own blue light? Mine only has a blue light on the macro and timer icons. The flash and exposure are not lit up.

I have a bad feeling this is broken, I just need confirmation before I contact orange tomorrow.

damn!

This means I have to rebrand to return the phone.
Any tips on returns?

I am with orange, I got the handset over the phone.

Do I have to post it back or can I go to a local store?

Maybe I could shrug and say it came like this
What are Sony playing at eh!

Gonna end up costing me a fortune de&rebranding the phone everytime it breaks.

Cycled like a nutter to the Orange shop in Bristol's Cabots Circus, where they told me they could not help and I'd have to phone to arrange a replacement.

So I phoned.

A new handset is being delivered tomorrow afternoon, the courier will take the old one.
Just like that.

Wicked! Orange customer service is awesome!
Hope the next one lasts longer.
Bit worried I'm gonna go through a few.. I've been treating it ever so carefully though.

I can see by all the responses, everyone is wildly interested in my exploits so here's the next thrilling chapter!

Courier arrived this afternoon with my new handset, Orange had asked me to hand him just my old handset, no battery or backcover, no memory stick, nuffink..
So I did.

He handed me a box and I signed.

Now I have 2 batteries, 2 2GB m2's, in fact 2 x all the crap that comes in the box and 2 boxes! Nice bit of compensation for having to rebrand and debrand the replacement.. oh, just remembered, I forgot to rebrand the phone before sending it back
IMO Orange shouldn't mess with the firmware anyway, plus its my handset.

Just debranding the replacement handset now, it's going well.. oh, its just finished, lets see... Please wait...... a long time.......here we are!

So much better! All the LED's work and its looking sweet.

If I were your neighbor I'd ask to borrow the extra sundries

My gf is going to have them for the k810i I gave her.

Right.
New issue!

When I press the up on the dpad or the right softkey, the very lower left of the picture goes a bit wobbly. If I press gently, or tap around the lower left of the screen surround the picture also goes wobbly. Like when you press an LCD screen. It's ever so slight, but its an issue. I'm close to putting up with it unless it gets worse.

Anyone else having this issue?

Just spent a while on the phone with Orange telling them about this new issue.

It doesn't come up on their system so its gone to level 2 technical where they will have to contact SonyE to find out the cause.

Looks like I'll be on my 3rd handset next week!! Gawd damnit!!!
