problem with my c902 |

I recently purchased a c902 and have had it for about 2 weeks now and I didnt check the loudspeaker function while calling someone...till now.
It seems that when i put the phone on loudspeaker, the person cannot hear me much (i speak at a normal volume but they hear me very quiet), but i can hear them.
The person i am calling can hear me perfectly when im not on speaker mode.
Seems very weird, Is there anyone that can help me figure out what this problem is???
Thanks =]

This is a wild guess, but maybe the phone's mic is set to a lower level of sensitivity so there is no feedback problem?

the mic is at the bottom of the phone, maybe you should try speaking into it? |

Hi there-
I have the same problem. This is the problem: after a year or two of using a loudspeaker on a mobile (K800i) my working style has changed and requires the loudspeaker function. The C902 which my employer pruchased new one week ago is broken in this respect: the loudspeaker function turns the microphone sensitivity down so that the person i call can just detect that I am speaking, but cannot hear what I am saying.
I have reported this to Sony Ericsson in Sweden, who of course acts as if this has never happened. Now we have at least two cases with an identical problem, a feature that is broken. When the loudspeaker function is off, my party can hear me clearly. When the loudspeaker is on, I hear them fine, they cannot tell what I am saying.
My company is returning the phone (we purchase about 8000 a year, so we will get service) but it's a total pain to have to migrate twice again...

I'm having this issue also if it helps in your complaints.
The ONLY time its been ok is when trying to show the Sony store guys the issue by calling their phone. Figures. |

Update: I think the issue of low volume or low sensitivity microphone is resolved for me.
What I did was use the "Reset settings" option found under "Master Reset"
Settings / General (tab) / Master Reset / Reset settings
My theory is that an update to the firmware altered a setting. I had done two firmware updates with the most recent one as below. Since I wasnt using the speakerphone early on I didnt make the connection. I have only done limited testing but this seems to have done it.
