afaik this isnt the first time Rossi has tested in a Ferarri. I think he done it a couple seasons ago as well

There was even a speculation about Rossi replacing Schumi 2 seasons back.

Rossi was only 1.5 seconds off Kimi's lap time around Mugello! 
Not bad for a days' outing of 30-odd laps...

I'm really, really bored right now, so, amawanqa, with that article, I've worked out that over 60 laps of Mugello, Rossi will finish nearly 2 laps behind Raikonnen if those times are consistent.
