Hi All,

I have bought Nokia 1650. I need the mp3 file to be converted to mid file, i have found some software it converts but the original sound will not be present and i need the original sound to present. I have found one more link using which you can convert mp3 to mid format but my mobile doesnt recognises it. Can anyone help me on this....

Thanks
Roshan

It is almost impossible to convert an MP3 file to MIDI. The latter is just a signal file that tells your computer to play certain notes. It can sound different with onboard sound and sound cards. MP3s are compressed audio files.

You can't convert vocals to signals. It'll sound like someone scratching their finger nails.

Yup, that'll never work. Same as trying to convert a photo to a vector drawing.

Have you tried copying the MP3 straight on to your phone. Maybe the 1650 plays MP3s after all, at least according to this spec sheet.

Try using one that has a lower bit rate. 32kbps mono might work.

Try using the ringtones from Zedge out here. If these don't work, your phone might have a problem with playback.

Umm, if your phone can play MP3 ringtones, why bother with an archaic format like MIDI? Besides, as mentioned in the original post, weren't you trying to preserve the vocals? Converting an MP3 -> MIDI won't get you anywhere.
