remove SIM-card/battery for patching? |

As a precaution i always remove my SIM-card when I apply a patch to my phone (K810)
But i'd like to know if this is really nescesary ?

Personally i dont think its necessary. I only remove the memory card.
Better to be safe than sorry I suppose.

Lol I patch my phone with everything in there (memory card, sim card etc.)

I used to have problems patching if I left my SIM Card in, so I always took it out.

Yea, I always removed my sim some dude said you can mess up your Eroms like that forgot who though. |

also, i used the option menu layout change Link and now the screen goes black for at least 90 secs when i get a msg and i can do nothing. it comes back, but its rather irritating, especially when i'm doin something else when i get the msg. is there something i can do to fix that?
