I'm impressed with my C905 although I'm not too impressed with what Orange has taken off, the downloaded Google Maps doesn't seem to work with the GPS, infact I can't seem to get GPS to work at all.
Theres no free trail of Wayfinder and when I do download it it only is going to let me have a 5 Day free trial!
Orange Maps is on the phone but it doesn't work, just takes me to a page which says its not supported, yet the Orange site says it is.
A few queries too, in the time/cost measure in the menu in Bytes, Bits or KiloBytes?
Also is there a good third party RSS reader rather than the web feeds function?
Still having problems regarding photos, the Orange Photography Application which has been shoved in instead of the built in SE Blog Upload Facility just freezes and refuses to upload pictures to Pikeo.
Really very annoyed although luckily the third party Shozu App works fine but stupid that what was meant to built in doesn't work.
Also still no geo-tagging, it saves the data but there is no data there when I put it into Picasa or Pikeo, really annoyed.
Also the volume controls don't work when the headset is plugged in, they don't seem to change the volume just stop the track playing or even just skip it, not sure if the handset is faulty or if its just that that C905 is rubbish .

De-brand but this will invalidate your warrenty and also orange won't do any future repairs on it, but if you want gps its the only solution

AmazeGPS works on my C905. The fully-featured sat nav programme is free but you need a data bundle to use it properly.

This is typical Orange branding that they completly ruin a good phone and this is why i left them.
They only way is to debrand the phone using online providers.
Sorry cant be any more help, Only thing i can suggest is next time dont buy a orange branded mobile.

I wondered about that myself to be honest, they allow you to re-flash it with the Orange firmware so how are they to know I've not just done a restore if I have any problems?

Every phone i had I debranded as I hate the Orange firmware.
Just remember that debranding the phone will not unlock the phone to any network as the locks are on the bios of the phone and not the software branding part
The only time you every have a problem is if you cant ever turn the phone on and rebrand it back or if you do something to the phone it self i suppose.

Even though my C905 photos show that they have been geotagged (the globe in the corner when looking at them) is there no way for me to look at that data on the PC? |

Has anyone ever had to reflash to the network firmware and send it back before?
Do they realise its been flashed before or do they just see the Orange branding and assume its fine? |

As mine is branded to Orange, can I not download flash themes from somewhere?
What can we do about Google maps and geo-tagging as was looking forward to this feature!
Also I updated traffic tv to latest version and lost any sign of gps.
How much does it cost to de-brand?

Is there a step by step guide anywhere for debranding?
Adding my contacts and apps again I can cope with but how do I get the correct Orange settings back after a flash? |

you dont need to i never had to reinstall anything,,it still picks up orange world and all the settings
it is simple..but you must remember to take out sim and memory card when you do it |
