How can I save my email settings so after firmware update I can just set them up again quickly. |

Hi all;
I know you can get email settings from SE's site over the air. However I use a couple of email providers who are not on the list and I have to manually enter all the details. This works fine and I can read my email with no problem.
However since SEUS software updates now wipe all the settings from the phone I will have to manually type in all of these settings again. I am wondering if anyone knows is there a facility to save the configured email settings off the phone somehow and then restore them after software upgrade?
I'm using K850i but also want it to work for C905.

I think it's not gonna be possible to backup the email settings.

Hmm kinda sucks really. Why would SE make it so the software upgrades wipe your phone but not make it so you can back up the configuration first. Thanks for your reply anyhow. |

Is possible with DB2020 and lower by copying the settings from the FS, but not DB3150 (which u are) at the moment.
FYI email settings in system/settings/messaging/email

Oh that's interesting Boysie99. So maybe soon one the relevant software is upgraded I might be able to do it? Hopefully so. Sorry if this is an faq but what do you use to read the FS on the older version phones? |

Progress is being made in cracking DB3150/A2 security for free: For your phone u can use A2Uploader by the_laser to upload files to the FS, check here...

I use FAR and JDFlasher normally, but to copy from FS I use advanced filemanager patch by IronMaster which gives full access to the internal file system from the file manager!

Download FAR + JDFlasher from www.4shared.com and apply QApatch using this guide...
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=27775
Then u will be able to copy any file from FS to computer.
From then on applying patches and using elves is simple. |

QApatch by den_po is a patch that enables all subsequent patches to be applied quickly without having to bypass DB2020 security every time. Read the guide in my last post. |
