CPW Navigator - C905 |

I have just updated my firmware and wayfinder has just been replaced by CPW Navigator which is only a 14 day trial and then £4.99 a month.
Wayfinder is still in the applications menu so I suppose all is not lost.
Has anyone any experience of CPW navigator and if so what are its advantages / disadvantages?
Also which is the best navigation software to use? I tried trekbuddy but it is rather complicated because you have to add the maps yourself.
All suggestions welcome.

Walgman, I find WayFinder the easiest to use, I use full postcode search (UK) and it has'nt let me down yet!
(you can download the latest version from the wayfinder website (I am a registered user on the wayfinder site so I downloaded app' to PC & then to phone as download via SMS either takes forever or usually never comes)......
I'm not sure about CPW Navigator but £4.99 per month seems steep, just under £60.00 per year! (but I suppose it depends on what you get for the price)...At the moment you can get a special christmas offer of £39.99 for 12mths license of Wayfinder navigator...
Hope this helps..... |

What I found out was that the CPW Navigator was the best at 'on foot' directions in my home town of London often taking me on great short cuts down alleyways and sidestreets whereas google maps and wayfinder sent me on mile long detours. At the moment I will stick with Wayfinders 3 month trial though because CPW's trial ran out pretty quickly.
I am going to Asia for a month in two weeks and look forward to testing out the old GPS out there to find a few bars I have previously failed to find. The main reason I got this phone was to use as a camera on this trip.
Saying that the damn thing has the broken earphone thing now. Its gonna go back to CPW. Hopefully they will straight swap it or I will be jolly angry and pissed off. |
