Has anyone been able to get the TDK USB Bluetooth to work with the P800 ?

I get as far as starting the serial connection then it immediately disconnects afterwards. I can pair the 2 together, that much seems to work.

I even tried the latest version of the TDK software from their website and same problem.

OK,

did some more playing around and it seems even though the serial connection says it fails, the connection is actually maintained and working.
Not quite sure why but i can now connect and sync via my TDK USB Bluetooth using the PC Suite that came with the P800.

I believe this is a Symbian smart-phone problem as i encountered it with my Nokia 7650 as well and now my P800 too. I'm using MSI (Widcomm) 1.2.2.14. Even though if you configure the port for serial to be Com4, when it gets connected - it will show "Com0". But i found out it actually connects on "Com5". Confusing right?

So what i do now is on "mrouter" i only check Com4 and Com5 then i create the serial connection and viola it works . But i have a problem which is i don't have "File Transfer" services for my P800 but i have it for Nokia 7650. So, i'm gonna try upgrading to MSI (Widcomm) 1.2.2.15 and see if it helps. Well post later ...

I'm using Widcomm 1.2.2.16 on MSI and still no file transfer on P800, but as you said, it works great on 7650.
Could this be a BT bug in P800?

I having a similar problem with the TDK Bluetooth PCMCIA card on Win2K pro.

However, using Windows Update I am told that my current driver version (1.2.1.20) is the latest. Is this true? How can I get the latest driver? I tried widcomm.com but could not find the latest driver software.

Anybody else got the TDK PCMCIA version working?

Cheers!
