So it is. This is pretty big news. Looks like the new color phones from Nokia are starting to make there way here to the U.S.
The one thing I can't understand is, why does AT&T list MMS as one of the 7210's features when they (AT&T) don't even support MMS???
From the AT&T Nokia 7210 page:
Features:
- Multimedia Messaging Service featuring image, sound and text messages
Now, from the AT&T mMode Q & A page:
Q: Why can't I send a picture using the MMS option on the phone?
A: MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service, a way of sending images, text, and audio using a mobile phone. AT&T Wireless does not yet support this type of message. Currently, you can send pictures using only mMode Mail.
I'll bet you USD10 that the wording on the 7210 page will be changed within a next week and the reference to MMS will be removed.
C'mon AT&T... Get your sh*t together!!!

@ least you don't have to wait until Summer for MMS like Cingular's customers will.... plus I don't see the 7210 coming out from Cingular anytime soon (if at all).. That's why I got one from Europe. |

@RichLok
How do you like it? Is it sweet? What do you like more about it than the T68i? In what areas does it fall short?
I hear you regarding Cingular. I've never heard anything great about them. When I got my T68i back in Oct. 02, I decided to go with AT&T because they are a long-time player, and I think they were the first out with the T68. But T-Mobile seems to be the dark horse that's taking everyone by suprise. I'm really curious to see who will be the first with the P800, T-mob or At&t... |

I think that the Java, Polyphonics, looks, and 4k screen are what get me. The design is great Im gettin one this week
Cingular is a very good company but it is true I went to the store and they said they have no idea when they are going to get the 7210

Which company are you ordering it from? How much will it cost? I assume you're getting one from Europe cause you're a Cingular subscriber and you don't want to wait?
It looks kind of cool but I'm not sure I would appreciate the funky keyboard setup. And the four navigation buttons are just as weird.
One more question, do you look foward to going back to Nokia-style navigation after using the T68i? I can see why some people like it, but I really like the icon-based main menu in the T68i. |

Yes I'm going to buy one of the internet but I'm not a cingular customer I am with At&t. I think that Both menu systems are good but The nokia one does work a little more efficiently. As for the keypad it will take some getting use to but in good time I will be sending text messages like nothing! and I can't wait to see the 4k screen!

Nokia have some good & nice models, but this time--what a blunder mistake. More research and destroy folks, keep on dreaming. Why so many funny models. Afraid of somethin'? Who?

Both phones are nice.. the 7210 does have poly tones, java and 4096 color screen but something about the T68i that attracts you to it. I also have a pana GD87 but it just doesn't feel the same as a T68i. And I was a huge Nokia fan!!! The T68i is the best all around phone I've ever seen, hands down... |

Ah hah!! I was right! AT&T took down the 7210 page!!
Now the page reads:
HTTP 404 - File not found
Internet Explorer
I knew I should have taken a screenshot.

The implementation of MMS on the Nokia 7210/6610 is pretty poor in my opinion. You can't add sound and when you receive a MMS it doesn't put all of the objects together to form a presentation, but each object (sound, text, graphic) is on a seperate page. Also it doesn't support amr sound files as well (the format used normally when recording your own message). |
